Your exciting seven-day Mount Kilimanjaro expedition starts its route from Machame taking you through breathtaking experiences both on the inside and out. This life-changing adventure doesn’t stop there. Upon returning to the base of the world’s highest freestanding mountain, we travel to the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater (both UNESCO World Heritage Centers) for a first-class four-day  Safari/Expedition, for full game drives and exotic sights.

YOUR ITINERARY*:

ARRIVAL INTO TANZANIA

DAY 1 – Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Private transport from the airport to Moshi, Tanzania and hotel.

THE KILIMANJARO EXPERIENCE™

DAY 2 – Recovery day from the flight, pre-hike orientation/briefing, gear check, and local market/souvenir shop.

DAY 3 – Machame Gates to Machame Huts. 3,100 meters (~10,170 ft). Estimated time: 6 hours.

DAY 4 – Machame Huts to Shira Plateau Camp. 3,658 meters (~12,000 ft). Estimated time: 5 hours.

DAY 5 – Shira Plateau Camp to Lava Tower. 4,876 meters (~16,000 ft) to Barranco Huts. 3,860 meters (12,664 ft). Estimated time: 8 hours.

DAY 6 – Baranco Huts to Karanga Valley Camp. 3,983 meters (13,066 ft). Estimated time: 4 hours.

DAY 7 – Karanga to Barafu Camp. 4,600 meters (~15,100 ft). Estimated time: 4 hours.

DAY 8 – Summit Day!! Uhuru Peak. 5,895 meters (~19,341 ft). Summit to Mweka Hut campsite. 3,100 meters (~10,170 ft). Estimated time: 13 hours.

DAY 9 – Hike to Mweka Gate and return to Moshi. Estimated time: 4 hours.

THE SERENGETI SAFARI EXPERIENCE™

DAY 10 – Morning flight to the Serengeti. Day game drive in the Seronera Area. Overnight at a luxury camp.

DAY 11 – Full-day game drive in the Serengeti. Overnight at the same luxury camp where you fall asleep to the sounds of wildlife outside your luxury villa.

DAY 12 – Game drive in Ngorongoro Crater. Overnight at a luxury tent or villa.

DAY 13 – Tarangire National Park and return to Moshi.

DAY 14 – Return home via private transport to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
